*Guitare* is yet another collage, following the works we've just seen. At the mention of the title, you might once have wondered how on earth this could be a guitar. But having heard the story of collage, you may now have a better sense of what Picasso kept trying to show us.

At the center, catching the eye, is a scrap of hemp cloth that looks as if it had been thrown away, the kind of thing we usually pay no attention to. Add just two lines on top, and it becomes a guitar. A magazine sits next to it. By making art out of things that are actually wasted in everyday life, or that strike us as dirty, Picasso uses works like *Guitare* to break down the boundaries of how we think.
