Getting to the Starting Point

The Walking Tour along the Seine begins at Notre-Dame Cathedral on the Île de la Cité. Paris covers only about 105 square kilometers, so we recommend walking over and soaking up the atmosphere on the way. If the weather is bad or you are staying far away, take public transport instead.

The nearest stations to the island are Saint-Michel Notre-Dame (RER), Cité and Hôtel de Ville, and buses run here too. On a nice day, renting a bike is another good option.
