The garden of the Rodin Museum is well known for how beautifully it's maintained, though it wasn't always this way. It took its current shape once the mansion here was designated to become the Rodin Museum.

About thirty bronze sculptures by Rodin stand throughout the garden, and all of them were actually cast after Rodin's death. That doesn't make them fakes, though. Because they were cast from molds taken from plaster models or clay originals that Rodin himself made during his lifetime, they're recognized as authentic works regardless of when the casting took place.

Here, you can encounter Rodin's major works outdoors, including The Thinker, The Gates of Hell, The Burghers of Calais, and the Monument to Balzac. Keep in mind that pieces are occasionally lent out for other exhibitions, so depending on when you visit, some may not be on display.

As for the garden itself, it's best enjoyed simply, like a relaxed stroll. The flowers that bloom with each season create a different scene every time, making it a lovely place to wander slowly and take photos.
