**Angelina: Mont Blanc and hot chocolate on the go**
On the walk from the Paris Foreign Missions Society chapel to Saint-Thomas-d'Aquin, you'll pass Angelina, with its chocolate-brown awning. It's famous for its Mont Blanc. We're listing it as an extra stop because this branch is takeout only, with the upside that there's no long wait. Grab a sweet Mont Blanc or éclair along with a cup of the signature hot chocolate and eat as you walk; it makes the walk feel much easier. Another popular item is chestnut jam, which makes a good souvenir or gift.
If you'd rather sit down, there's also a café right next to the Luxembourg Gardens, which we'll visit soon; see the photo for its location. Angelina, a favorite of Coco Chanel, lets you experience elegant Paris amid Belle Époque splendor. The downside is not the price but the enormous line: to eat in the café, expect to wait one to two hours every time.
My best experience among its many branches was at the Angelina inside the Louvre, where I had a Mont Blanc, a hot chocolate and a chicken salad. I loved the very rich hot chocolate, but paired with the Mont Blanc it was so sweet that I got tired of it by the end. A second coffee would have made it more satisfying. Still, all that sugar carried me through more than 13 hours. I was torn the whole time I stood in line, but a cup of Angelina's hot chocolate is something I never skip.
