The Small Dining Room

The table is set with the same style of dishware Marie Antoinette favored, seen earlier on the floor below, arranged as if to recreate a moment of her dining. What's laid out is not meat but fruit and dessert, reflecting her reputedly modest appetite. This room also once held Louis XV's billiard table: after finishing her meals in the Grand Dining Room, Marie Antoinette would typically come here to while away the time at billiards.
