Night Adoration
Sacré-Cœur Basilica · Paris, France
To carry on Sacré-Cœur's calling of Eucharistic adoration, a relay of prayer begins every night at 10:30 p.m., once the church doors close. This silent vigil has continued ever since August 1, 1885.
You can even experience a "night of adoration" yourself by registering on the official website at least 48 hours ahead. You choose your prayer hours and receive an entry pass, and for a modest fee you can spend the night in the dormitory. Many Catholics visit the basilica like a pilgrimage, offer prayers at night, and then leave.
