How to Buy Panthéon Tickets
Panthéon · Paris, France
A standard ticket covers the ground floor and the crypt and costs €13. If you'd also like to climb the dome for views from the open-air terrace, you'll need to add a Panorama View ticket for €3.5. After about 206 steps, you're rewarded with a 360-degree look at Paris, from the Eiffel Tower to Notre-Dame, and on a clear day the view is superb. The panorama is open only from April to October, and daily capacity is limited, so booking ahead is a must.
The Panthéon sees fewer visitors than many of Paris's big sights, so you can buy tickets on the spot. Still, there may be a line in high season, so if you're set on going in, it's safer to book ahead. Museum Pass holders can walk straight in without a reservation. Tickets are booked on the official website, and the TourLive blog has a detailed walkthrough for booking both the entry ticket and the Panorama View ticket.
From November to March, entry is free on the first Sunday of each month. If you're traveling during those months, check whether a first Sunday falls within your trip. Ticket prices can change at any time, so be sure to check the official website.
